Square ceramic cord is resistant to an operating temperature of up to 1100ºC. Ceramic cord consists of a core of glass yarn that is braided very tightly with ceramic reinforced yarn (Inconel). It is used for sealing machinery such as: dryers, industrial furnaces, coal boilers, biomass boilers, pellet stoves and for thermal insulation of hot elements. This is a popular sealant for sealing built-in fireplaces, boiler doors, dryers, chambers and stoves operating at high temperatures.
Due to its high chemical resistance, stove cord can be used in contact with most aggressive chemicals except phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid and fluorine. This cord is commonly used for boiler plants to seal boiler doors. It prevents the escape of smoke from the combustion chamber into the chamber - the boiler room. It is recommended to install it in all boiler doors.
